Two members of the Tennessee National Guard died in a helicopter crash on February 15 near Highway 53, just outside of Huntsville, AL. The crash occurred as a result of an accident during a training mission, which is currently under investigation by state and federal authorities. No other military personnel or civilians were injured as a result of this tragic event.

According to WSMV4, the helicopter crash occurred on Wednesday, February 15, near Highway 53 and Burwell Road in Huntsville, AL, at around 3:00 PM CST. The Madison County Sheriff’s Department in Alabama responded to the crash site, where they reported that two crew members on board the helicopter were killed.  A video appears to show the helicopter catching fire when it crashed, with other evidence showing the helicopter on fire as first responders headed to the scene.

Meanwhile, the helicopter crash will be under investigation by both state and federal authorities to determine the potential cause. The Tennessee National Guard has promised to provide more information as the situation develops.
