Insignia, a major electronics manufacturer, has issued a recall for about 635,000 air fryers and air fryer ovens, after it was found they posed a significant hazard for burns and accidental fires. These air fryers have been found to overheat, causing potential property damage and injury to people using them. What is Insignia?

Insignia is a brand of electronics that is owned by Best Buy Co., Inc., and which principally sells its electronics through their stores. While their focus has generally been on televisions, they also create a variety of other consumer electronics, including cookware. It is sold wherever Best Buy sells its products, which primarily includes the United States and Canada.

What Are These Air Fryers?

Air fryers are a type of convection oven that is made to simulate the act of frying food without the need for oil. It circulates hot air at high speed, cooking the food relatively quickly and thoroughly.
